WRS Tech's growth has continued onwards from my retrospective article last year. Our team has strengthened and developed as well. Recently our company has gone through our yearly individual appraisals which have highlighted a recurring theme.
The importance of hard work.
Paul and myself have always stressed to anyone who will listen the value of an intelligent considered approach to recruitment (something I am sure some of the naysayers on social media don't feel is possible) and it is a personal and business mantra for us both to consider and reconsider the best way to do things.
However this approach can only be successful if rested upon a solid foundation of hard work and a proactive mind set.
WRS Tech’s team is full of clever and passionate marine & maritime recruitment professionals who work together with each other and our senior management to provide considered and intelligent recruitment services to our clients. The team’s successes are the result of its hard work.
Readers of this article who know me well will know my personal loathing and distaste of self-help mantras and quotes (something I feel I must overcome) however it really is true that "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard". It is Paul's and my ambition to work with colleagues who are both talented and hard working. So far this is paying off for our clients, candidate’s colleagues and company.
For 2017 it is our plan that everything about the WRS Tech experience — candidate & client, Contract & staff — is going to continue to be refined, polished and built upon by focusing on being the most talented and hardworking marine recruitment consultancy. The road ahead of WRS Tech includes sustainable growth of our team and of contractors and placements with our clients. Paul, Andrea, Stuart and I as Directors of WRS Tech cannot wait to share the journey with all of you in the marine and maritime industry.
