The weather was scorching with the pair cycling 100 miles in 36oc heat on one particular day. This halted the pairs ambitions of leading the peloton across the stunning French countryside after 3 days, after which they both selected a more casual approach to the ride and a keener interest in various bars, cafes and boulangeries.
The event was superbly organised and the on the road support was immense – WRS Tech would like to thank the organisers of the Hayling to Paris committee members and support staff for helping James and Andrea with all aspects of the ride.
Andrea and James choose to undertake the Herculean task to support a charity very close to our hearts, that of Cry – Cardiac Risk in the Young. Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die suddenly from undiagnosed heart conditions. CRY works to reduce this number and offer support for those who are affected by young sudden cardiac death.
Peter, a member of the Cox family, passed away due to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) during his first year at University. So far the pair have raised over £1800 which is an immense amount of money for a very worthy cause.
However! We would like to see this sum tip over the £2000 mark so please dig deep and help deliver vital financial support to CRY via the pairs JustGiving pages.
