White Ribbon UK is part of the global White Ribbon Movement to end male violence against women.
The wearing of the ribbon stands for never taking part in, condoning or staying silent about violence against women. Men and boys are encouraged to wear a white ribbon on the 25th and for a week or 2 after, to highlight the pledge.
Founded by a group of men in Canada 17 years ago, the campaign has become international with the UK branch being founded in 2004 which has continued to grow since.
