Sunday 25th of October saw Senior Shipbuilding Consultant Matt Smith along with Director Paul “The Running Man” Hollowell complete the Great South Run, the world's leading 10 mile running event.
The run took Matt and Paul past the iconic sights of Southsea and Portsmouth, including the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, home of HMS Victory and the honoured permission to run past the Royal Navy Ships, on past the Spinnaker Tower, and finishes on the seafront with beautiful views of the Isle of Wight. As well as many supporters from the WRS Tech office to cheer on Matt and Paul.
Among the entrants this year was Olympic champion sailor Hannah Mills, who was running in aid of the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.
Mills was also an honorary starter at the event, along with fellow Olympic champion and team-mate Saskia Clark.
Paul managed to beat Matt Smith’s time and has also been the most limber of the pair today in the office. Both of them would encourage you to support Emily Smith’s charity raising efforts details of which can be found HERE.
