One of the largest ports in the Baltic Sea, Port of Tallinn will be introducing a new piece of equipment when welcoming cruise ships and other large vessels.
Trelleborg have designed and manufactured their latest system which will be installed at Port of Tallinn, Estonia. The system is known as AutoMoor T40 Twin Arm and has been designed with two mooring arms, that can work together or independently. Each arm has been created with vacuum technology which connects to the required vessel and brings them to the berth, creating a 'rope-free mooring system.' This system not only speeds up the process of mooring but increases safety, minimises vessel motion and allows you to monitor daily operations.
Hopefully, AutoMoor will prove it’s worth in the industry when it’s installed at Port next year and it can then be used in other Ports, all around the world.
