The opulent principality of Monaco squeezed into just 200 hectares, might be the world’s second-smallest country (the Vatican is smaller), but what it lacks in size it makes up for in attitude and glamour. A magnet for high-rollers and hedonists since the early 20th century, it's also one of the world's most notorious tax havens (residents pay no income tax). It's also famous for its annual Formula 1 Grand Prix which is this year is from Thursday 25th through to Sunday 28th.
Of course the best place to watch all the racing action is in Port Hecules where the yachts in the prime berths are just meters away from the racetrack. More than 130 superyachts were in harbour on the Thursday last year so that guests could enjoy the Practice Day action where Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest pace.
Starting from this Thursday the racing cars that less than two weeks ago were rounding Barcelona's Turn Three at 160mph, and soon will be swooping through Eau Rouge at Spa at close to 200mph, being driven on the limit through streets barely wide enough for a Rolls-Royce.

If you are interested in a discrete conversation about how WRS Tech can help your Yacht or shore based technical office from Build and refit management through shore based technical superintendancy please pick up the phone and speak to us (although probably best to do this after the racing finishes on Sunday).
