Dry docking
Roughly 90% of the world's goods are transported by sea, ergo there are thousands of vessels traversing the Earth’s waterways at any one time. Obviously, they come in all shapes and sizes with different functions, but they all share a common trait. They all need to be maintained and kept up to international standards.
The Dry Dock is the lifeblood of vessel/asset maintenance, and again, comes in all shapes and sizes. The attached article provides a good insight into how they work and what is required for a successful docking.
The calculations required both from land and sea are complex and costly to get wrong.
