This particular client I am recruiting for are looking for an Industrial Service Manager. Working as the Industrial Service Manager, you will manage and lead a team of engineers and departmental staff with an aim of creating excellent customer service, excellent supply and overall business growth.

Main Purpose of Role:
• Management of:
o Service contracts and associated works
o Generator supply and installation
o Planning, labour utilisation, customer contact and people development
o Technical support
o Manage and lead a team
o Business development
• You will:
o Maintain good working relationships with customers, visiting them on a regular basis
o Be a point of contact and respond to customers during normal working hours and urgent responses in non-standard time and weekends as required
o Provide technical support to both customers and employees
o Ensure profitability targets with respect to quotations and labour utilisation are met
o Ensure the quotations are in line with the company authority levels and are timely / accurate
o Prepare and submit RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
o Compile tender responses as and when required for new contracts
o Assist in developing continuous improvement in all operations, processes and policies
o Ensure the use of cost-effective sources for goods, services and hired equipment
o Brief all staff daily to ensure they are clear on what is expected of them, also to ensure they have correctly prepared Job Packs for all jobs
o Ensure that all job specific reports are completed in good time
o Look to increase efficiency in all work whenever and wherever possible
o Maintain company’s disciplinary and grievance procedures when appropriate
o Ensure that all employees reporting to you receive an annual appraisal
o Ensure that staff skills are developed in line with the demands of the job
o In-house and external training plans to be maintained in line with the objectives of the company
o Ensure that work standards comply with the requirements of the QHSE system and that all employees are conversant with the quality system
• Experienced in / Confident with:
o Making sure Service Level Agreements are met with all customers
o Ensure targets outlined in the business plan are met
o Management of labour and efficient utilisation
o Internal and external communications
o Ability to quote accurately and in good time
o Engine and generator control systems
o Service and load bank testing of diesel generators and repairs of ancillary equipment
o Genset supply and installation
o Integration with legacy equipment
o Ability to review electrical drawings and specifications
o Electrical system design solutions
o Load calculations
o Experience in quoting and tendering for new work, including remedials
o Deep Sea Electronics generator control modules
o Management of Subcontractors
Qualifications/Documents/Other Requirements:
• Driving Licence Required as travel / client visits will be required
• NVQ level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
