WRS Tech’s team have a number of vacancies for multiple maritime businesses covering the UK and overseas.
 
This particular client I am recruiting for are looking for a Project Manager. Working as the Project Manager, your primary purpose would be the effective delivery of complex highly regulated equipment. You will be working with a multi-disciplined team and provide leadership, accountability, direction and prioritisation of resources to deliver projects on time, cost and quality throughout the full life-cycle – from concept phase to final handover

Knowledge/Skills Required:
 

- You will; Co-ordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between / within the company and customer
- Lead compliance assessments for a variety of certification and associated approvals
- Support the selection of components to meet customer defined specifications, leading to the creation of procurement specifications

- Create support and lead as directed the creation of project specific documentation, including but not limited to: ILS, RCM, RAM, design reports, operating manuals

- Safety assessments
- Risk assessments
- FMEAs
- Design reviews
- Design calculations
- Reliability calculations
- Creation of activity and test plans
- Lead/attend design and project meetings as required

- Participate in system reviews, verification and validation activities
- Manage an integrated project team including interfacing with other stakeholders
- Ensure that robust contractual and project baseline control management is adopted to manage change effectively and deliver an appropriate level of business management reporting
- Promote best practice, support and develop project team to maximise efficiency and effective delivery
- Support the business via the management of key performance indicators (KPI’s), project metrics, risk and opportunities, optimisation and budget control
- Customer management and project reporting
- Develop and implement effective execution strategies and / or plans in-line with the overall project strategies and plans
- Work with the Project Management team in providing input and direction to the Planner and Production Manager - creating, implementing and maintaining a production plan in-line with the project requirements and underpin deliverables of a project plan
- Identify risks to the project and work on the appropriate strategies for risk management
- Ensure that activities undertaken align with the customer requirements and project deliverables
- Develop and maintain the project risk register, including helping to ensure that relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate
- Track activities, work packages and milestones to project plans and budgets, report to the Head of Projects on progress
- Preparation and presentation of monthly performance and progress reports
- Work with a broad stakeholder group, including the MOD and global prime contractors in the defence industry in order to provide effective stakeholder management
- Demonstrable professional knowledge of working in project / programme management, ideally in a complex highly regulated engineering environment
- Proven track record of managing
